    Converting a vob file which I have extracted from a DVDR to a mpeg so I can re-burn it gives me fuzzy horizontal lines like so:



    These do not seem to appear if I reduce the resolution, which is 704X576. This is a pal video. I tried using TMPGEnc and FlaskMPEG and I get exact same fuzzy lines! even tried on two different machines to make sure it wasnt a hardware fault... no luck. it has me beaten. I tried most of the settings but still same result.

    Would greatly appreciate any help

    Have you tried Deinterace Setting in TMPGenc??
