Hi everyone,

I hope you can help answer some really stupid questions for me....

I want to get video from my DV camcorder onto my PC where I will edit, add titles etc, and then onto VHS tape.

I've sorted the capture and editing stage, and I have some questions about the final part.

If I got a TV out card, I can connect this output to the VCR. How do I then get the AVI file onto the tape... is it as simple as selecting the TVOut in software, playing the AVI file and pressing record on the VCR ?

I understand from reading other posts in the forum that the camcorder stores the raw video as AVI, and that by editing and saving as AVI the quality should remain the same. Would the quality of the output onto the VCR tape be as good as if I connected the camcorder direct to the VCR ? ( I know that going from a DV camcorder to VHS will result in some loss of quality as its an analogue format, but as long as I shouldnt expect anything worse than the direct connection, I'll be happy.... )

Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions !

Mark.
