    I have a dvd with old black and white cartoons. I can rip the dvd but cannot make a good copy of the cartoons as the action is not smooth it is like yoy can see some of the lines jerking. this does this even when previewing the rip. The dvd does play fine. Can anyone help with this.
    I used dvd decrypter and dvd to avi.

  2. the sorce is possably Interlaced.

    if you are going to AVI, use DVD2AVI to frame server it then encode in "Virtual Dub" and run a DeInterlace Filter on it.

    If you are going to Mpeg, use DVD2AVI to frame serve it then encode with "TMPGEnc" and after loading the template, click settings then click on the advanced tab, and use the DeInterlace filter there.
