Problem with sound!!! please help...newbie question!!!

Hi i have an ATI radeon 7500 or something like that and i just had a simple question. i am able to do the monitor on the tv and the tv on the monitor ok(the video input and output). However what do i need to do(and what are the names of the cords taht i need) to get the sound from the TV to go on the computer speakers so when i record from the tv the sound will be with it. i heard that i need some small cord that goes from the video card to the sound card then an audio cord for the sound card to the tv but i dunno. if anyone could go into detail about this i would greatly apreciate it. thanks.

the little audio wire from the card to the cd in on the motherboard that the instructions says to use is what kept my card from putting out any sound.
get that group of black wires that came in the box.. it plugs into the video out on the card, and the mini rca jack on the opp end plugs into your line in jack on your sound card.
