  1. I have been having some audio/sync problems in vcds recently. I convert the .avi or vobs to .mpg and then burn them to vcd.
    I use (from vobs) :
    Smartripper
    Dvd2avi (frameserve)
    Tmpgenc (standard compliance vcd template)

After I've burnt the mpgs to vcd they are in sync via my computer's dvd drive but when I play them via my standalone dvd player (limit dvd8072) the audio is out of sync. This also happens with pre-made .mpgs that are downloaded.

    My cd-rw is a 4x teac cd-w54E, and the cd's I use are up to 8x compatibile.

Any help would be much appericated.

  2. I always extract the audio from the avi file with Virtualdub before encoding with Tmpgenc.
    1. Launch Virtualdub
    2. Load avi file
    3. Select Audio --- Full Processing Mode
    3. Select Audio --- Compression --- no compression PCM
    4. Select Audio --- Conversion --- convert to 44100 Hz
    5. Select File --- Save WAV

Then I launch Tmpgenc and select the avi file as video input and the wav file as audio input.

    Alejandro.
