  1. I have a really big problem! I captured analog clips to my HD, than I edited my clips and if I render my files uncompressed (should be the same quality) they have a poor quality.

I thougt it might be the software (I used first Videowave2 and than i tried it with Videofactory and VegasVideo3) but itīs still the same.

If I play my originally captured clips (352x288 25fr avi captured with tnt2) they are looking great even in fullscreen at 1024x768 but if I edit my clips and try to render also as the same format uncompressed they have a very bad quality. Of course I tried to render to other formats like mpeg and avi compressed because the goal should be a VCD and a VHS-tape but I still loose a lot of quality.

Iīm reading posts in this forum since 2 weeks and got no answers so I think this is a special case - please help!!!

When you say "bad quality" what exactly do you mean? If it's uncompresses it should have 0 effect of the video.

  3. Tahtīs right - I only edit my movie, say: cut something, add a effect and than I try to export (render) as avi uncompressed - and what happens? a bad quality - I donīt know why - Iīm really confused about that.

I recogniced this because I made a clip and than I rendered it to mpeg (first with videowave and than with tmpeg) and I didnīt belive this bad quality(even if I tried as many different options as possible). So I tried to play the finished movie to play directly from the program in fullscreen and it looked very poor - after this I played only the original captured file and it looked great(fullscreen at 1024x768) - so Iīm wondering because how do two times different software make the same bad output and why are still looking my original captured clips (who are in the same size 352x288 25fr) great?

There have to be a solution!

  4. Now I think I know why but not how to solve!

If I capture a clip (UYVY Pal I or G) itīs a colordeepness from 16 Bit but I can only render as 24 Bit (with every codec itīs the same) !?!? There are no options how to capture with 24 Bit even I changed my desktop colordeepness to 32 Bit (I only can change my desktop 16 Bit or 32 Bit or lower) and I think thatīs the problem why Iīm loosing quality?
