tmpgenc vxd vmm(01) error message

Every single time I attempt to use TMPGEnc, I get a blue screen VXD VMM(01) error message a few minutes into it and the program shuts down. I have read everything I could find. I have tried everything I can. Nothing will work. If anyone knows what to do or has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate them as my computer is about to end up on a highway.

well your running with an AMD processer, that prolly your main problem.(thats a Joke ha ha)

but could just be that your od is full of crap, when was the last time you reinstalled windows?
Maybe Now is a good time.

i installed windows fairly recently actually, right after i formatted the computer as a failed attempt to fix this thing. the only thing i've been able to find is that the soundblaster live! card may have something to do with it. this card is new to me, so i have no idea. is that possible?

is your 60gig drive one whole partition and formatted with FAT32?
cos VMM is teh Virtual Memory Manager, which runs of the Hard Drive.

As TMPGEnc used a lot of Memory, it may be the only program causeing the error at present.

if you format a drive over 20gig with FAT32 you will cause the drive to fail, eg create bad sectors.

This has happened to a few friends of mine.

So scan you HDD with Norton or the windows shitty Drive Checker and have a look.

yep...60 gig, one partition, fat32. can this be fixed?

if your drive all ready had bad sectors, No.
Try takeing it back to where you got it from and tell them it's faluty, and you want it replaced.
(but check it with Norton or Disc Check first.

best remedy is install XP and format it as NTFS.

or you could partition it into 3 20gig lots

okay, partitioned at 20gigs. now i'm getting vxd cache blue screen error messages. currently loading gun...please help...

Did you scan your Hard Disc for Bad sectors (Surface Scan)?
