I recently captured direcly from a hi8 camcorder and when i saw the result I noticed there was a lot of noise with is'nt when I copy to vhs.
how come? Is it the captere card, codec, camcorder or something else?
This is my system and settings:
p3 450 mhz
400mb internel memory
10gb (system) 40gb (video) dma is on
miro dc-20 capture card
viper v440 video card
win '98
picvideo mjpeg codec highest quallity
full resolution, both fields
720x540
compression 7.5 : 1 (2500 kb/sec)
capture with virtual dub
using very high quallity svhs cable
