  1. Hi Guys ,
thanks for reading my Query....I really need some Serious HELP..as I dont know much about this...

I have been using Nero Burn 5.5 till now very very smoothly with my CD Writer HP 9140i ...and it worked excellently....
But Since past few weeks a NEW problem has Emerged while burning CD's...
I have atleast Spoiled 20-25 CD's ....the Problem is that as an when I start Burning my CD (Data,VCD,Multisession)....the BURN Process starts ...
Nero does the Initial Read Speed Test ---as usual
Later as It starts the Burn Process Immediately or after 1-2% of the Start of the Burning Process ...it Constanly Shows the Error....Buffer Under RUN ..Writing Failed..

I have tried all things friends and at last I m seeking your Help...

I also tried changing the Buffer Settings from "Automatic" to "Manual" value "64"(which is the Highest)...nothing has helped me..

Also the direct CD to CD copy feature fails in the above manner....

    Hey you Experts please HELP
...Is there something wrong in my CD Writer...or is it the Software problem Only....

    Please HELP

    Best Regards,

    Nityanand...

i think its a hard drive or bus problem. you should do one of those hard drive diagnostics to see if your drive is performing up to par. the ability of your hard drive to send info to the burner is very important in the burning process. even when you are doing 1:1 your hd is still the middle man. my best guess is that your hd is hanging due to having alot of applications open or being full to near capacity.
    food folks and fun

  3. Check to see if DMA is still enabled for HD and reinstall drivers for cd burner.Nero has a cd-rom utility called "Nero CD Speed" it's in the Nero Toolkit folder. If none of that helps I have to agree with Musty_Hustla,it's probably your HD.

I solved my buffer underrun problems (in another burning software) by lowering the burn speed from 8x to 6x.
