  1. I tried last night but it didn't work. I t made ALL my capture software (FreeVCR, Vdub, AVI_IO) not recognize my capture card (WinTV). It even made my computer reboot when I opened FreeVCR! I really want to use this.

I used VirtualDub with btwincap to capture from my WinTV Go card and it worked fine.

I'm using btwincap drivers for my Terratec TerraTV Value card. I had to do the manual installation (wdm_install_by_hand.zip / something), the setup program didn't work for me. Also, I could install the latest (about a month ago) version of this driver for some reason.

It's true the software that came with your card don't work with btwincap drivers, but who cares? DScaler is far better for TV viewing anyway.

I've figured this one out. Part of the problem was overclocking my computer (undid). I installed it without any trouble on my new windows 2K setup. BUT, you are right. The tv software that came with it doesn't work. I use it to cap anyway. But this descaler thing is for TV viewing? I could have the best of both worlds?
