Hi,
I'm converting my digital home movies to SVCD. After all the editing in Studio7, I render to AVI using MainConcept DV codec v2.0.4 then convert to Mpeg2 SVCD using TMPGenc Plus 2.57 and burn with Nero 5590. When played back on my DVD player I noticed that the HFX Pro effects appear to be "jerky". Just for testing, I rendered the same file to AVI but this time I used Microsoft's DV codec. Converted to Mpeg2 SVCD and burned. To my surprise, HFX Pro effects played smoothly. What seems to be the problem?
For anyone who uses the same steps in making SVCD with Studio7, can you please let me know your MC codec settings?
By the way, I tried enabling the "Change Field Order" in MC codec ENCODER settings and the result was a smooth HFX transition effect but a "jerky" movie clip. In other words, the problem was reversed.
It costs me 50$ for this codec only to find out that it is not working properly with SDV7. So please can anyone help me with this problem.
Thanks...Joey
