I am recording an avi file from a VHS recorder & it records but when I play it back, the picture gets stuck on one frame & the sound continues.

I am using a rage fury pro vido capture card.

Can any one assist with my problem.

    Macrovision

If your VHS is not protected then you are using an ATI and you VHS is old and the ATI is detecting the poor signal quality as macrovosion ( tells you something about macrovosion ).

Did you drop frames while your were capturing ?, you may have a corrupt file. Load the AVI into Vdub and scan for junk frames.
