ISO files

Hello, I just came across this site this morning and got just about all the info I ever needed for dvd ripp*** that I was looking for 2 years ago befor I got married bye bye

any way I didn't want to download some 600mb *.iso files this there were and I don't know what thay are, I know every one there knows can ya'll clue me in??

I have another question but I got to go for now...

600MB .ISO files huh, so are you into linux? SOunds like a linux distro. I know, I have downloaded a couple. an ISO is a image of a cdrom. To make a CD from it, you cant just burn the image to the disc, you must burn the image.


In NERO:
Goto FILE>Burn From Image
Just pick the ISO file and burn it baby

If I understand your question correctly, you want to know what an .iso file is. Putting it simply an .iso file is a CD image file. You can use burning software such as Nero to burn the image to a disc and re-create whatever the original CD was. There are several variations on this format such as *.DAO, *.TAO, *.BIN/CUE, *.IMG, *.NRG ect., all created by different programs, but all are basically the same.

Dear Kayfam,When you say these are basically same which pairs do you mean.Iknow that DAO and TAO are different. The rest are BIN/CUE,IMG and NRG.Please explain,I am a beginnerThank you.
