  1. Can it be done ?

Can I extract a audio track from a mpg and repair it (remove hiss,ect..) and then put it back in again. ?

The audio repair I can handel, I'll do it with cool edit. I just need some direction on getting it out and then back in again.

    Thanks.

  2. In Tmpgenc under file select Mpeg tools. Simple demultiplex with separate the two streams, simple multiplex will put them back together. Other programs will do it as well, the term you're looking for is multiplex and demultiplex.

  3. Thanks !

    That did the trick.

One more thing. You wouldn't know how to convert a mp2 to wave and back again. ? Cool edit dosent seem to like mp2 files. Goldwave will process the file then convert it to a wave file, but I haven't figured how to get it back to mp2 again.

    Thanks again.
