FrameServing from Virtual Dub to CCE SP

Is there a guide for frameserving from VDub to CCE?? If so, can some kind soul point me to it please

Open your avi file with VD.
Click on VD's 'File' menu heading and go down to 'Start frame server' Click 'Start'
Save a file called 'frameserver.avi.vdr'

Open CCE
Drag the file 'frameserver.avi.vdr' to the CCE window

*This works fine in CCE 2.50 and is not guaranteed to work in other versions.
