i use TMPEG, and find the picture is jerky! is there any way to eliminate this, or is it normal?![]()

You probably encoded with the wrong "FIRST FIELD" selected, but I am guessing here, because you haven't provided enough information to be able to help you.

when i encode a film, i leave "non-interlace" set! is this correct, i also read about cbr and vbr! which one is best! thanx for quick reply!

As a Pal user, I would first investigate wether your DVD player and TV can handle NTSC. Most can but many people do not realise this. If this is the case it is probably not worth bothering with a conversion as it can be tricky to get right. Just select the Tmpgenc template that matches the framerate of the source and encode.
