    is there a program that i can get that will allow me to use my wintv go capture card and capture as a mpeg? or will i have to buy a different capture card?

    You can probably use WinCoder.

    It's OK but you will never get anything like the quality of doing the mpeg encoding after the caprture. But for real time encoding it does a fairly good job.
    Not only am I perfect but I'm Canadian too!

    Wincoder, PowerVCR, Ulead Videostudio can all capture real-time mpeg with a WinTV Go card.
