  1. I just ripped a DVD with DVD2SVCD for the first time and it made a wonderful SVCD .. BUT.. the sound starts before the movie begins!.. That makes the entire movie have the sound out of sync by a constant 6 seconds.. Is this preventable? Maybe it was just that DVD that has an awkward sound track???

  3. I had one of those...I didn't rip the first chapter and it solved the problem...it was a rudolph misfits dvd. Yes you can manually try to correct it (good luck it's advanced) screw around with the bbmpeg startup delay settings. See dvd2svcd advanced reference.

  4. To correct this, decode your audio to a .wav file and add 6 seconds of silence at the start of it with a wave editor program. Save this and re-code it to MP2 with TMPGenc (use a jpg image as a video source file). Once this is done, demux it, and then remux the new soundtrack with the original video file and this should give you pretty decent sync.
