When I try to write my Divx file with Nero the program says that it is anb invalid Avi file although I can play it with media player without any problems.
    What could be wrong?
Should Nero be able to convert a Divx file to an MPEG by itself and then write it to a disk?

  2. Djnick,

I don't own Nero so I don't know, but I would expect that it shouldn't be able to convert a DivX to VCD format. DivX is MPEG-4, and VCD uses MPEG-1.

Go to www.tmpgenc.net - I swear by this encoder. Follow the wizard, put in your Divx, select where you need to split it (a VCD holds up to 74 minutes of movie) and hit encode. You can't go wrong with the wizard. Once you have your file, use Nero to burn it as a VCD!

In TMPGEnc, it is always worth using the noise reducers etc in my opinion, as it seems to give better quality.

    Any more questions, just shout.
