  1. I have Pioneer 104 and I tried to burn my first DVD-RW (Princo).
Though the "Job Was Done" (I used Primo DVD 2.0) both my DVD-ROM
(also Pioneer DVD-500m, 116 series) and my burner cannot read the DVD-RW. I use Win XP Pro. Can Anyone Help Me? Maybe I must change the recording options? I use:
UDF with Joliet-106 characters length-plus 8+3 tree (bridge)

  2. I just received a pack of 100 Princo DVD-RW's today. I have successfully been using the Pioneer DVD-RW, which came with my Cendyne (relabeled Pioneer 104), as a "test disk" with my set-top players (APEX and Panasonic DVR30). Nero settings are the same for DVD-RW as DVD-R. (Except, of course, erasing the used RW's before re-burning). I burned my first Princo today, and had the same problem you did (not readable, or even recognized as media, on my reader, burner, or set top players). I didn't have a chance to try another yet, and I am seriously hoping that it was just one bad one. I have been using Khypermedia DVD-R's (from OfficeMax) and have not had a single bad one yet (of about 50 burns).

  3. If you have been able to create and read a DVD-R, then a DVD-RW should also work when created on the same drive.

I have the Pioneer and it works fine (don't have Princo, but have tried 2 other brands). You do need to Erase them prior to reuse.
