  1. In TMpgEnc you can make VCD from 23/25/29 FPS movies, but if you want 2 make SVCD you can only make this from 25 and 29 FPS movies and not from 23.
Is it possible 2 make SVCD movies from 23 fps?

I'm no expert on SVCD's. I've never tried encoding one but I've heard people talk about the 3:2 pulldown option in TMPGEnc. When you select the MPEG 2 stream setting in system, it unlocks the Encode mode under the video tab. Think you have to select '3:2 pulldown when playback' and then encode your movie to MPEG 2. Have a look at the help screen for this option (Move arrow over the down arrow box) Can't give any further help but maybe this will point you in the right direction.

  3. you already have a template that would do that for you in tmpg, "supervcd ntsc film" it will mark the pulldown for you.

  4. I have done SVCDs @23.976fps with 3:2 pull down all the time. And to be frankly they are better quality than 29.97fps SVCD. One thing to remember you must not encode SVCD@23.976fps if your movie are in NTSC or film under 80% or else you'll get line(interace) all over your screen and a jumping jumping movie.
