  1. Hi!

Tried to install the Pinnacle DC10 plus on an MSI KT266 Pro mainboard (1,4GHz Athlon, 512MB DDRAM, Windows 9. I installed the driver and reboot the system. Everything looked fine and I captured a few seconds. During playback the system crashed (black screen). After reboot I got an error message (card failure). I booted again but the DC10+ didn't work. Again I installed the complete system and again the system looked fine after installing the DC10+ driver. This time I didn't captured and shutdown the system. After reboot I got the same error message... (

In my old system (Pentium 200MHz, ASUS P55T2P4, 128MB, Windows 9 the card still works fine (but slow...).

    Anyone an idea?

  2. On the pinnacle support site there is a reg-file which could solve the situation.

File is DC10.reg and is for solving some problems with drivers >900 Mhz
    No garanties. Check the info-file.

Another link for the file, besides the pinnacle site, is:
    http://www.videotipps-2.purespace.de/berichte/tools/dc10reg.zip

    Check:

    Also solvations:
    800x600 16bit
    No DDraw checked
    DMA checked for capture drive
disable "write behind caching" under system \ troubleshooting

    good luck

  3. Thanks a lot!
I installed the reg-file and a file called ppe105.exe (both from pinnacle). Now capturing works really fine, only playback via DC10plus' TV-Out makes still trouble. After a few seconds playback Windows crashes completely (black screen). Maybe someone has an idea.

  4. ppe105.exe is the most actual driver as far as i know. Maybe this is an option?

Playback (i asume/this is the same as Overlay?) also failed when i had the DDraw-box checked. Unchecking did the trick, but then i could not capture in the 768x576 (no crop)resolution. I don't want to capture in that resolution, but it whas something i could not believe it could do on my Athlon 1000, 256Mb, 60Gb-IBM-7200rpm, ViperV777-Ultra 32Mb.

So i tested some other things. The card has some good reading material on this and finaly i did it by altering some video-card registry keys which related DirectDraw & Overlay.
