  1. okay. i understand that you cant use svcd mpegs and pass them off as dvd's.. many problems will arise.. why cant you just make one big svcd? lets say for example you have a 3 disc svcd movie, each disc being 715mb.. you merged all the mpeg files and created a bin/cue using vcdimager.. could you then mount that bin/cue using daemon tools and make a copy of it to a dvd-r?

    wouldnt the player recognize is as an svcd movie?

  2. No, whenever the DVD player detact a DVD media, it expect the DVD structure with the VIDEO_TS directory and those VOB files. That's why you have do some work to put SVCD onto DVD-Rs. It's not that hard once you try it. Ever since I discover how I could put SVCD onto DVDRs, I've never created any 3 CDs SVCD movies any more. All DVDs.
