TMPGEnc won't encode in 2-pass VBR

Whenever I attempt to use 2-pass vbr when encoding a video absolutely nothing happens. I clicked on unlock and that didn't help either. It seems I can only encode in CBR. Anyone know what's the deal? thnx

If you mean that nothing is displayed in the video window - then this is normal. Remember that for the first 50% of the time TMPGenc is scanning the movie to find it's VBR for its encode - you will see the movie appear after 50% and then continue until the end as normal.

PS - Remember to enable the VBR cache (under the environment setting in tmpgenc) and it will decrease the encoding time.
