  1. This is the first time that I uses DVD2AVI.
I selected the VOB files and run them through DVD2AVI
with default setting, the d2v file was generated.

But I can't find the wav file!

The Audio panel of DVD2AVI did show audio processing.
The VOB files has AC3 english audio on stream[80].
I encoded with the d2V file without wav and got a "Silent Movie".

Can I use dvd2avi to generate the wav file ?
What setting and sequence should I used ?

I did find out that among the VOB files, TMGenc demux tool can only figured out the AC3 file on the first VOB file.

SingSing gave you a major clue as to how to solve the problem! "This is the first time that I uses DVD2AVI."

If I recall correctly, the first time you ever open DVD2Avi, in the Audio drop-down, the default for track selection is "off" (or whatever its labeled). Track 1 is not automatically selected. So if SingSing just loaded a .vob and saved the project, this would generate the "missing wave" file as per the subject of this thread.

    SingSing:
Just select Track 1 for your audio and you should be fine. You did say something that makes my answer problematic. You said "The Audio panel of DVD2AVI did show audio processing." In the Dolby Digital selection of your Audio drop-down in DVD2Avi, did you have it set to decode or demux? If it was set to demux, and then you opened another piece of software to access a .WAV file by default, that app wouldn't necessarily also see .AC3 files as audio it can handle. My recommendation in that case would be to either decode your audio to WAV (do not demux), or if you wish to keep AC3 audio, just hunt for it in Windows Explorer.

  5. I did set it to decode.
If the Audio panel has processing information,
then it at least saw a track.

I did used smart_stripper to demux the m2v and ac3 files
with stream processing. But this method most likely will cause lip-sync problem.
