  1. I got the plugin for tmpgenc for converting MOV files to mpeg. Then I converted the file and took it to virtual dub and converted it to avi. Is there a program that does both of these steps at once? Is there an easier way to do it?

  2. QUICKTIME... on the save option, just save it as .AVI.

Just an add-on to Tiezo's post. You need QuickTime Pro to be able to export to avi.

  4. I have the regular quicktime 5.x, not pro. Is quicktime pro the same program except with the registration # or is it whole other program?

The latest version is QuickTime 6 and you need to purchase a key from Apple.com to unlock all the features. You can find it here at:

  6. ok...got it thanks...now the only thing about this that I don't like is that you can't control the size of your avi file, where with virtual dub you can set the bitrate and make the file whatever size you like.
