  1. Hi

I tried to encode some vids in mpeg-1 format to play on my dvd player.
The DVD does play all original vcd's I bought so it works perfectly -

but it doesn't with the ones I encoded so I must be the prob

    * First of all whats the speed that CDRs must be burnt? is 4x good?

    * As for TMPGEnc, what is the main difference when encoding a mpg in MPEG1 - SYSTEM AUTO, or MPEG1 VIDEO-CD

I usually use system auto as it takes less space - but not all of them work on my dvd (I do have 2 dvd players, and if 1 doesn't work it does on d other :P)

    * Should all vcd's be encoded in MPG Video-cd? (i had some encoded in said settings which didn't work neither!) is it possible to make them work with SYS. AUTO?

sorry for d long question but i gave out the max info I could -

    thankx

Set it to MPEG 1 (Video-CD) and your VCD's should play.
