Any help appreicated
Thanks

Are the frame rates the same in the .avi and your mpeg files?
If they are different, try re-encoding with the same frame rate as the avi file. -
The avi file is 25 fps what template should i use in Tmpgenc to beable to play on my dvd player ? I am in the US BTW. I am using NTSC Film template right now in tmpgenc so figuring that could be wrong sense it says 29. something fps. I want my stand alone dvd player to play it and my computer.

try changing the field order and re-encode. (especially if this only occurs during movement)
cheers -
If the avi is encoded at 25fps, thats the Pal framerate. As you are in the US you need to encode to NTSC or NTSC film. There is a guide on doing this under Howto Convert, left of this page.
