  1. The jumping is like during movements which is easier to see. Like when someone is walking you can like see the frame jump or something. I want to beable to fix this. This happens when i covert a .avi to a mpeg2 with tmpgenc.

    Any help appreicated

    Are the frame rates the same in the .avi and your mpeg files?

    If they are different, try re-encoding with the same frame rate as the avi file.

  3. The avi file is 25 fps what template should i use in Tmpgenc to beable to play on my dvd player ? I am in the US BTW. I am using NTSC Film template right now in tmpgenc so figuring that could be wrong sense it says 29. something fps. I want my stand alone dvd player to play it and my computer.

    try changing the field order and re-encode. (especially if this only occurs during movement)

  6. If the avi is encoded at 25fps, thats the Pal framerate. As you are in the US you need to encode to NTSC or NTSC film. There is a guide on doing this under Howto Convert, left of this page.
