Hey all,
Just got my Pioneer A04 and I was wondering what I should get rid of in my present system to make room for the DVD-R?
My Main System:
XP2200+
MSI KT3 Ultra-ARU
1024MB PC2700
120GB Western Digital (SE)
160GB Maxtor (Storage)
Leadtek GF4 4600
16X Pioneer Slot Load
32X TDK VeloCD CDRW
17" Samsung SyncMaster 760Vtft LCD
Running WinXP Home
I was thinking of offing the 16X Pioneer DVD player in place of the A04, but comments and suggestions are appreciated.

Got some folks looking,
Need some feedback plz, plan on doing this tonight!
Thanks -
Just get a RAID card (cheap) - I have 3 IDE harddisks, 1 IDE DVD-ROM and DVR-104. You'll possibly need to buy also power supply cable split (~$1
) - take a look if you have more than 4 power cables.

Well if you're forced to remove either the CD-RW or DVD player, then look at the speeds.
The DVR-A04 is equivalent to:
CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW = 24x (yours = 32X)
DVD-ROM = 6X (yours = 16X)
So it really depends on what you use more. If you use DVDs more, dump the CD-RW player and use the DVR-A04 for your CD writing needs. Or if the CD-R difference between 24X and 32X is not a big deal to you, dump the CD-RW writer. Otherwise, dump the DVD player.

I wouldn't use the A04 as a DVD reader. Keep the othere DVD reader also. Less wear and tear.
