  1. i'm transcoding vob's (4 episodes within 7 vobs) with cce and i'm trying to get it to fit on one dvdr...around 4 gigs even as i want to include the extras...right now the 7 vobs are at 6.58 gigs..my ac3 file is 557 mb..my settings for cce are multipass vbr..4500 average, 2000 min, and 8000 max...will these settings make it fit?

Basicly to figure this out use any of the bitrate calculators, but rember that we need to know how much TIME the video take to determine average bitrate.

Time being no concern would you say doing advanced works better than using multipass with 3-5 passes? I do most of my encoding overnight and this would complicate my setup, but I'm a quality junky so I'de do it for most things.

yes using the advance feture you can adjust the bitrate local, and still do a multi pass 3-5 times
