  1. Ok, I'm sure this has been covered before, but I can't find it anywhere so I'll ask. I'm using an ATI AIW 128pro card to caprture from tv to MPEG 2. Things seemed to go alright during capture, I guess, with minimal dropped frames. Problem was with playback from the hard drive. Within 3-5 minutes of the beginning, the video and audio began to get out of synch and progressively got worse. Do I need to tweak my settings or am I missing something? Also, can I salvage this file and re-synch it somehow? All advice is appreciated.

  2. What do you mean "minimal drop of frames"? 1 in every 1000 frames, 1 in 10000? My experience is, if frame drop is less than 4-5 every 10000 frames, there should be no noticeable synch problem. Otherwise, it's very nasty to fix.

  3. I just get it. You were doing real time mpeg-2 capture? That's a totally new animal to me. Never done it. Don't have a fast system. Maybe someone else can help you.
