I live in the UK. I just want to know when encoding, (divX > vcd) what settings should I be using? (I.e. frame/sec, pixels, NTSC/PAL etc.) I’ve read the help section and bits in the forum but I’m still not 100%.
Is it best to leave in the same format as the source or should I convert everything to PAL, 352 x 288 pixels
    25 frames/second? I’m using TMPGEnc.

I would appreciate any help, as it takes about 4hrs per 60 minutes of film to encode on my PC! So I don’t want to have to keep doing it!

I don't know specifically, but what I do when I am unsure is run an encode on a few seconds of video (takes a minute or two) and burn it onto cd-rw and view it. then keep trying until you get it the way you want it, and you don't waste cd-r media or too much time.

That sounds like a good idea. I'll try it tomorrow when I get some cd-rw's.

    Thanks
