    i have the philips dvd710 the player always played the dvd`s perfect but now he don`t read some dvd`s i tryed the upgrade the firmware to 9.28 but it did`not work some dvd he reads and some not. the dvd that look`s al little gold at the botten that dvd`s he doesn`t read and the silver one`s he reads them verry good can some body help me please

    Sounds like your laser is getting weak or going out of adjustment. Solution is a new DVD player.
