i have a vhs tape that was recorded from a camcorder but here's the problem....when played back it has what appears to be a thick static line in the middle of the screen...the line moves a little up and down when i try to adjust the tracking but eventually the whole screen is distorted...i have tried the video on about 3 different vcr's now but i get the same results so that leaves me to believe that its the tape or how it was recorded...my question is does anyone know what this could be if its not the tracking and does anyone have any suggestions as to how i might be able to clear it up is possible........thanks.......

Sounds like a damaged tape to me. Pop the lid on the VHS tape and inspect the tape itself.
Hello. -
i tried another tape and it works fine...like i said i tried the tape on 3 other machines so i know its the tape...i also looked at the tape itself and it looks fine to me...just like any other tape...i was just wondering if there might be something more i can do to try to clean it up....
