  1. Big problem!!!!!!!!!!

I downloaded a nice AVI-film, good quality, good audio.
Problem: When I want to convert to MPEG with TMPGEnc, there is no sound anymore.

I hope anyone can help me out with this problem.

    Thanks anyway![/b]

  3. You also might need to use VIrtualdub to extract the audio as a WAV then use WAV as audio source in TMPGE

  4. I have the exact problem, so I dwonloaded the Nimo Codec Pack, and the I tried to re-encode my video with TMPGEnc, and the same thing happened. There is still no audio. I tried extracting the wav from VirtualDub but thats not working either. Is there something else I have to do?

Do you mean that you can't open file in Virtualdub ?
    or
You did extract and save the WAV ,but it does'nt encode with TMPGE?

  6. What I mean is: I can open the file in virtualdub and I did extract the wav, but even when I use that wav file as the audio when I encode it in TMPGEnc, I still don't get any audio in the resulting mpg file. Everyone says to download the nimo codec pack, and it will work, but it still isn't working. What should I do?

  8. Yeah, but the wav is supposed to be 21 minutes long, and the wav is only 8 minutes long. But still, when I try to encode the video file with its own audio it still doesnt work.

    I.m a bit confused....
the video/audio is supposed to be 21 min long....
but the extracted WAV comes out as 8 min??
so--...when you listen to this 8 min clip ,does it sound like chipmunks or is it chopped?

  11. No, It all sounds normal, but then the wav just cuts off at 8 minutes. The actual audio sounds fine when I play the avi, but when I encode it using the actual audio, it doesnt come out.

  14. Ok that version didn't save a wav file at all nothing happened. Is there any way to avoid using a wav file and just use the original audio?

  15. Virtualdub > File > Open >(movie title) > Audio > full Processing Mode > Audio > Compression > no compression(pcm) > Audio Conversion > 44100 (if VCD) > File > Save as WAV.
