When Exporting FFMpeg created .mpg to .mov sound is missing

This is a follow up to my other post of yesterday. When I open the "unsynched" .mpg file that ffMpeg creates and I export it to a .mov file the sound track is missing.

My thought was that if I could get the .mpg to a .mov I could try and use QT Mutilator to fix it but I only get the video, the sound track is completely missing.

This is normal. The reason you have no audio is because QT will not export the audio when exporting muxed tracks.

So if the audio is out of sync then how do you fix it ? QT Mutilator will not take a .MPG file. So if my .MOV file has no audio I can't use QTM ?
