  3. As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

  4. Region Countries
    0 No Region Coding
1 United States of America, Canada
2 Europe, including France, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Arabia, Japan and South Africa
3 Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Borneo and Indonesia
4 Australia and New Zealand, Mexico, the Carribean, and South America
5 India, Africa, Russia and former USSR countries
    6 Peoples Republic of China
    7 Unused
    8 Airlines/Cruise Ships

If you are looking to remove the region encoding the only way I know how to is to rip the DVD to your computer first using Smartripper or DVD Decrypter and making sure you select for the program to make the DVD region free.

    Hope this helps

If you have an authored DVD-R then it is not region protected (region 0). You cannot have region protection (or CSS for that matter) on a DVD-R, nor do blank DVD-R's purchased overseas have region protection.

If you have a DVD-R burner that you purchased in the US, you will probably be able to switch regions on it. You can normally only do this 5 times though (but can be disabled with firmware). The easiest way to switch is to stick a commercial DVD into your drive and try and play it with PowerDVD...it will ask you if you want to switch the region of your drive.
