    I'm having trouble getting CCE 2.5SP to accept .avs files and can't understand why because I had it working before I reformated Hard drive. Theres got to be some little thing I have missed which is really straightforward.

    Try reinstalling avisynth. Try reinstalling CCE.

    If you are unsure whether these are being installed correctly then install DVD2SVCD as it sets it all up for you.
