  1. I don't have a DVD player on my computer, but if I burn a VCD, will I be able to play it on my computer? Do I need some special software or something? Thanks

  2. I have another problem. I was using VCDEasy, I added the first mpeg file, and it started scanning it, and at the end of scanning it, it gave me this error:

    "(smr)signs-tc(1of2).mpg"
    Unknown encoding frame rate: 60

  3. Why burn to VCD at all if you're going to watch on your PC? I'd use DiVX to encode. You'll get much better quality and a smaller file using DiVX as opposed to VCD (MPEG1).

    i agree. go with divx
but you can watch a vcd with powerdvd or windvd if it installs and vcd is on harddrive. my svcd plays through my cdrw drive(and yes i just tried it) so its your choice.

  5. And why does it give me that error? You want me to convert it to DiVX? Sorry, really new to all this.

  6. DiVX is a newer form of MPEG compression. It can compress files much more efficiently than MPEG2. You can easily fit a 2 hour movie on to a single CD-R with DiVX while maintaining excellent quality. Check out the 'CONVERT" section for more info.
