I apologise if this is a newbie question but when I attempt to convert a .avi to a .mpg to cut to a VCD I lose my audio stream.
I have attempted to extract and re-insert the stream manually but VirtualDub gives me an error message.
If I play the original .avi in WMP it plays fine.
The main point with that however is that I _have_ to use the kristal codecs to get audio. The standard DivX 3.11 and 4.0 codecs won't enable the audio to be played.

Any ideas?
