I am trying to build a dedicated box for video playback based from a amd k62-450 that was being used for nothing, but I am having trouble playing dvd rips at high bitrates encoded to divx. It plays everything perfectly except these files, I first tried the divx 5 codec and it was choppy and out of sync, changing to the divx 3.11 fixed this quite a bit, but not to the point of watchability. I KNOW that this computer is capiable of playing such dvd rips as I had used it a year or so ago for playing some and they worked fine. Can anyone help me out?

  2. It seems to me that some software change has affected your playback performance. Any number of things could cuse this including a change in OS, background applications/operations, different video drivers or players, etc. It should be just an matter of using a process of elimination in figuring out what has caused the dropoff in performance. All I can offer with this information.

    Hope it helps,
    Prospero
