    Hi
    Does anyone have an idea which Freeware or other wise is the simplest and quickest to transfer .MOV to MPEG for making VCD's.
    I am MAC user.
    I am trying to use Toast but it takes for ever and ever to do the conversion.

    QuickTime itself will convert to .avi (but it is uncompressed so VERY big) and the use TMPGEnc to convert tto Mpeg.

    TMPGEnc CAN CONVERT THE .MOV FILE TO MPEG DIRECTLY IF YOU HAVE THE "QTReader.vfp" FILE IN YOUR TMPGEnc FOLDER. SERCH FOR QTReader ON GOOGLE.

    Might be hard for him to use that since he is a Mac user though.
