  1. I convert an Avi file with Tempenc to mpeg1. When i trie to burn it with Nero i got the next notice:

The file D:\Films\Titels\ The Time Macine\Cd1.mpg is not a valid file for creating a standard Video CD V2.0 (CD-I player) disc A compliant video file requires the following specifications: MPEG-1 which was encoded for Video-CD: audio: 44,1 Khz; sterio; 224 Kbit/s video 352x240/29,97 Hz or 352x240/23,976 Hz or 352x288/25 Hz.

    The following problems were found:
-stream encoding which is invalid for a (super)Video-CD

    How would you like continue?

-Turn odff standard compliance and continue
    -Re-encode the video file
    -Cancel.

What went wrong by the convertion, what is the best option and what say notice?

Sounds like it's not VCD compliant. Check the following link:

It's not what you know. It's what you can prove.

turn off standard compliance and continue.
then see if your standalone will play it.
or, if you know what settings you used in TMPG, check to make sure that your player will play an XVCD with those settings. did you change the sampling frequency to 44.1 k?
if you don't know the settings, you can download bitrate viewer, and look at your mpeg with that to see your settings, and then check if your player...
what are you askin' me for...
    I'm an idiot!
