is it possible to use Tmpgenc to plit a Avi file into 2 MPG files and then fit them into 1 CD? The reason why i ask this is becasue i am curious if Tmpgenc Compacts the files as well?

Yes TMPGenc can take an avi file and turn it into two mpg files. You may also want to try one of the Templates for TMPGenc (for instance Kwang's) to try to fit the video all onto one CD.
