I just started to try studio 8 because of its abelity to make DVD menu's.
But I don't want Studio8 to re-encode my already made mpg files. I made them with CCE and they are great.
Does anybody know how to stop Studio 8 from re-encoding the mpg file when burning a DVDwith menus.

I make SVCD's not DVD's but I think it is the same. Make all your chapters as separate mpgs using CCE (I use TMPNGenc). Then start a new project in Studio 8 and import the mpgs and drag them down to the time line in the correct order. Now drag a menu in front of all of them and let Studio put in the chapter tags.
As long as you do not edit any of the video and do not put any menus between them, Studio 8 will not reencode. I'm not sure if transitions cause encodeing. (probably).
I think you can move the chapter points around but I'm not sure.
You will see Studio encode the menu but then it will jump to compile.
My results lately have been very good. The only problem was that when I checked the little box that makes the menu use moving video rather than thumbnails it caused Studio to crash duriing compile. Unchecked that box and all is fine. If you get that option to work let me know because it may be due to incompatibility with TMPGenc files.
