Today i tried to convert with tmpgenc and it says "Invalid Pointer operation" what does this mean?

most likley your .avi has bad frames. Open iy in virtualdub, select video->scan stream for errors. Wait. Select video->direct stream copy, audio->direct stream copy, file->sav avi and save a new copy of your avi with the bad frames removed. Then encode with TmpGenc.
