    hi just wondering how i would make a dvd ripp .avi when i ripp it, like i use smartripper to get teh vob files then i use dvd2avi for the audio of the dvd, but instead of using tmpeg to make it a mpeg, i was wondering if there was a program i could use to take the .d2v file and the audio fileand make it into a .avi file ,

    VirtualDub, Adobe Premiere, even TMPGEncoder, short said, every software, that is able to generate avi files. None of these tools support :d2v files directly, so you have to wrapp it with VFAPIconv.

    But you also could use DVDx (see at http://www.labdv.com/dvdx). This package rips DVD's, usually directly to MPG but (at your request) it also can rip to AVI.
