    I have an Apex 1100w that seems to be the 512k model according to the information here. It does play vcd's and standard mpeg files also. My question is when I play regular mpeg-1 files the fast forward and rewind don't work. It just goes to the next track. You have to watch the whole clip. Is there any way to get the FF and REW to work in this mode? They work fine on dvd and vcd videos.

    I saw something about pbc (playback control) in the manual but I couldn't find anything on how to turn it off. I wrote apex tech support on this issue & they haven't written back.
