Is it any good, or should I take the extra time to use TMPGENC for my VCD (not SVCD) productions? I am all for best quality, but if MSP 6.0 encoding is CLOSE, I will settle for that since it would save me some time in how I handle my files.
How about this... can I do "chunks" of my production (due to 4GB limit), edit as AVI and produce them as AVI (complete with transitions and effects).. encode to VCD with TMPGENC.. then splice all of the encoded "chunks" without any quality loss since all files will be VCD compliant with zero editting, just splicing, taking place?
Also, if I add a music track to the resultant MPEG, will the re-render process just effect the audio track, or will it re-render video as well?
Thanks
