  1. Hello everyone.

    I have the following problem and I would appreciate your help and ideas.
    I recently downloaded a long video from the web (68mins - 263MB - mpg, compressed probably with a codec). I converted it using the latest version of TMPGEnc to an MPG (352x288, PAL VCD) file, about 640MB. The file works perfectly without any problem. When I tried to burn it to VCD using the latest version of Nero, it asked me to re-encode the file, so did it. The problem is that the VCD doesn't work properly. The sound works fine but you can see some kind of interference (noise) repeating every second on the video. I know something must be wrong with the convertion using TMPGEnc but I'm not sure about what to check.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks a lot in advance and sorry for my bad English!

  2. open TMPGenc
    Go to File->MPEG tools->Merge&Cut
    Type->MPEG 1 Video cd (It makes 1150 kb/s no mater what is input)
    or MPEG 1 Video cd (It makes the same Video stream as it is in input mpeg file) ----good to fit 120 min film on one Video CD---
    Both ways are OK
    input files has to be mpeg(or dat but it is slow)
    for output type what you want
    after 20 min the yob is done
    Output file must be smaller than 820 Mb for 80 min VCD

  3. I found a work around and it finally worked fine.

    I converted it using TMPGEnc to 352x288, PAL, 25fps, 1150kbs/s video and 224kbs-16bit-stereo the audio. Then I used Easy CD Creator which accepted the file without any incompatibility warning and it finally worked.
